Cultural Dancing

Nearly every culture has at least one traditional folk dance. These dances are often performed to celebrate a special event such as a wedding or the harvest season.

Through waves of migration, many of these cultural dances have been brought to Australia. For instance Irish folk dancing, Indian Bhangra dancing, American clogging, Scottish Highland dancing, Hawaiian Hula dancing and the Chinese Dragon dance.

Dance Steps is focussed on those styles of cultural dance that are taught in dance schools.
