In the short clip, Gemma, who famously clashed on the ITV show with judge Jason Gardiner, gracefully displayed her moves alongside her ice skating partner Matt Evers in a dance studio.

Captioning the sass-filled video, the GC, who was voted off the skating series in week six, wrote: “Waking into work LIKE 😝 have a FABULOUS DAY”.

And in the wake of her social media post, fans have been pleading with BBC to hire the GC for their next instalment of the ballroom stalwart.

One fan wrote: “Gemma for STRICTLY 2020!!! This needs to happen.”

“Still no strictly offer @gemmacollins1?” another pleaded. “Please tell me that’s Gorka and you’re going on strictly.”

A fourth shared: “GEMMA!!!!!! OMG #TheGCforStrictly you are a natural[sic].”

Despite their please, the Diva Forever star is a little late to join this year’s Strictly line-up after the 14 contestants were confirmed earlier this month.

Some of the stars taking to the ballroom include EastEnders actress Emma Barton, RuPaul’s Drag Race judge Michelle Visage, Made In Chelsea’s Jamie Laing and comedian Chris Ramsey.

Strictly returns to TV screens in September, after the celebs are assigned their professional partners.

Meanwhile, Gemma reportedly rowed with a fellow passenger over an aeroplane seat on an economy flight as she tried to sleep.

The ITV darling was on an Aegean airlines flight from Athens to Heathrow when she got into a tense exchange with a woman in front.

Gemma had her tray down and was attempting to rest her head on the back of the seat in front so she could sleep, but became annoyed when she felt the woman in front was reclining her seat.

A fellow passenger who witnessed the exchange told the MailOnline the reality star shouted: “What the f**k are you doing, babe?”

They added the lady in question didn’t appear to speak much English and replied: “My chair is not reclined.”

Gemma reportedly replied: “‘Stop f**king moving, stop f**king moving, just leave it, it’s fine.”

As the other passenger continued to protest she wasn’t doing anything, Gemma said: “But leave it like that, it is hitting my head and it hurts.”

She then cut the woman’s protests off and said: “Alright it’s fine” and closed her eyes to try and sleep.

Gemma’s solo journey came the day after she attended the Jackie O’ beach club in Mykonos.

A representative for Gemma told the MailOnline: “All Gemma did was like many passengers do in a busy air plane is ask for someone to be considerate to her.

“It was a gentle request and was in no way a row.”
